Not all dogs enjoy spending time in doggy parks. But those who do enjoy it so much sometimes they don’t want to leave. This is not out of the ordinary.
In doggy parks, dogs get to run around. They are able to have their much-needed exercise. The games they get to play in these spacious areas run the gamut, too, which means no need for boring and repetitive activities.
On top of those reasons, doggy parks also allow pups to socialize with their fellow four-legged creatures. Some of them even find love in these parks. Yes, there’s so much to appreciate about these places.
One dog from Seattle loves her city’s doggy park so much she travels by bus every day and all by herself just to visit it. Watch this video to know her story.
The dog in the video is named Eclipse. She’s a mastiff and labrador mix. Eclipse has been a regular of the D line bus.
Every day, she hops on the bus, with a bus pass attached to her collar. Luckily for her, King County, where she lives, allows public transport to accommodate dogs. Eclipse makes the most of this rule.
D line drivers appreciate Eclipse’s presence on their bus. So do the bus’s regular passengers. She’s a friendly and adorable dog, after all.
Eclipse’s solo bus journeys began one day when her human took too long on his cigarette break. They were at a bus stop waiting for the D line bus. When the bus arrived, Eclipse decided to hop on even without her human.
Yes, that’s how much Eclipse loves the park. She would ditch her human so she could visit the park ASAP. Her determination is something to admire.
However, dog parents must always remember to never let their pets roam outside the house on their own. They might be mistaken for strays.
